Rasteira Mortal
Remember how that guy described it? "Help the hero escape from the snakes in this fast-paced reflex game!" Blah blah blah. That's like describing a gourmet burger as "meat between bread." Technically true, but completely misses the whole point of what makes it special.
I thought it was gonna be some dumb endless runner, just tap and dodge. First time I played, I died in like, ten seconds. Just a tiny glowing orb getting swarmed by green lines. I was like, "Ugh, boring." But then I gave it another try cause I was bored, and something clicked.
It's not about dodging the snakes, man. It's about *using* them. See, the snakes, they don't just move randomly. They kinda follow your last move, but also, when two snakes cross each other's path, they leave this super bright, glowing trail that's solid for a few seconds. And you can't cross it. So the real game is about making these temporary walls. You're like, herding the snakes, making them crash into each other to build little safe zones, or even trap other snakes. It's wild.
I figured that out after like my fifth try. I was just trying to run, and kept getting cornered. Then I accidentally led two snakes into each other and saw the trail, and it was like, WHOA. My whole brain just went *click*. The little orb I'm playing as, it makes this tiny little "bloop" sound when you make a wall, and it's so satisfying.
Honestly, I'm not usually into these super fast reflex games, they stress me out. But this one, it's different. It's like, part strategy, part crazy arcade action. Like Tron, but you're building the light cycles' trails yourself to survive. I sat down thinking I'd play for ten minutes before bed, and next thing I know, it's 1 AM. My eyes are burning, but I just wanted one more run.
I already told Leo about it cause he loves those intense puzzle-strategy things. He'd probably get it even faster than me. There's this one moment, I was super cornered, like three snakes closing in, and I just barely squeezed through a gap, and then quickly led two of them to cross behind me, making a wall, and I was safe! For a second. It felt so good. Your heart just pounds.
The only thing I didn't love was the beginning it's really confusing. Like, the game doesn't tell you anything about the trails, you just have to figure it out yourself. But once you do, oh man, it's a game changer. It's fun. Really, really fun. You gotta try it. Seriously. I'm still thinking about that one time I lasted for like, two minutes, felt like an hour. So good.
