Secrets Behind Doors

Hey. Are you awake? Sorry it's so late but I just finished playing Secrets Behind Doors and my brain is like, buzzing. I can't sleep thinking about it.

Remember how you told me that description was "explore the kingdom, traps, puzzles, skill and strategy"? Man, that's like calling a gourmet pizza "bread with toppings." Technically true, but completely misses the point! It's so much more than that.

So, when I first started, I was expecting some platforming or something, right? But the first "door" I picked just led to this really quiet, dusty room. There was this old, broken music box playing a super sad tune. And then I found a torn photo on the floor, of a little kid and an old lady. It just felt... personal. Not a trap, just kinda heartbreaking.

That's the thing. It's not about dodging spikes or whatever. It's like, every door you open isn't just a new room, it's a piece of a story. A memory. You're trying to figure out what happened to this kingdom, and why everyone's gone, by seeing different moments. Like, one door shows you the king being really angry, but then another door shows you a memory of him as a young boy, super scared. It totally changes how you see things.

I got so sucked in. I looked at the clock and it was like, 2 AM! I was supposed to be in bed hours ago. There's this grumpy talking raven named Corvus who sits on a broken statue and only gives you hints if you bring him shiny things you find. I spent like twenty minutes just trying to find a shiny button for him because I needed to know what he'd say next. And then he told me something super cryptic about "the forgotten key," and I was like, *gasp*.

It's confusing sometimes, because you can pick any door and sometimes you just find a dead end or a memory that doesn't make sense yet. But that's part of the fun! It's like being a detective, but the clues are feelings and old conversations. Your not just solving puzzles, your piecing together a whole life.

Honestly, I don't usually get into games that are all story and no action, but this one is different. It makes you *feel* things. I already told my cousin Mark he has to play it. It's just really, really clever how they made you care about these people you never even meet properly. You just see their memories. It's kinda beautiful. You gotta try it. Seriously.
